Will someone in depth explain to me how the new dragon quest 9 works using multiplayer with wifi?
I just bought dragon quest 9 and the guy at game stop said you could play online. I cant figure out how. I know its probably simple but I even googled it and couldn’t find anything. Also i found 1 article that said it was for local acces only. Is that true? Does that mean I can only play with people right next to me? Please explain. Thanks!
It’s an common assumption. The game has wifi and it has multi-player, so the assumption is that it must have wifi multi-player.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case for Dragon Quest 9. The multi-player is local only, so you basically have to know who you are going to be playing with, or at least be able to see them.
The wifi refereed to on the box is the wifi store. The store sells rare/unavailable items, downloads extra quests, and brings special guests to your hotel. The contents change everyday, with a weekly theme, but that’s it for the limits of wifi.
