The Wii console needed to be something that people would want to use and not be afraid of.It needed to have a powerful look, yet be unassuming at the same time. What they settled on was a perfect mix of the look of tomorrow with the needs of today.
The Wii console looks like a standard DVD player sitting in an upright stand but it also has that sleek look and feel of something revolutionary. The continuing theme is white and all of the accessories being developed for the Wii console are being made in that white theme with sleek lines and an unassuming shape and look. There is a consistency about the Wii console that allows anyone to feel like they can not only set it up and use it but potentially master it as well.The design itself gives off its own energy while encouraging people to add their own light to it.

Everything about the Wii console is both new and exciting along with being old and familiar.The design combines what Nintendo wants the public to see in the future, as well as, what the public already knows.
